Don't worry, she will start to nest, some dogs nest weeks before my girl started day before she delivered her pups
she will dig, pant and keep licking her vulva when she is ready, she may want to go pee often,so if she goes outside and its late, put her leash on and have a flashlight ready, make sure she doesn't hide,My girl tried to,I kept putting her in her whelping box ,she may stop eating day before labour, mine ate breaky day before and that was it,have wet quality puppy food on hand and during her deliverying give her about 1 teaspoon to keep her energie up,make sure you are near her,
if she lost her mucus plug, its usually 12 to 48 hrs before you see any puppies, make sure once in labour to have plenty of water, you may have to remove the sac with in less then a minute if your gal hasn't removed it,asperate the pup, mouth first then each nostril, rub puppies pup to your gals teats, she will do the rest,oh cut the cord about 1 in from belly tie off with dental floss, and put iodine on part thats left so mom doesn't try and bite it..
all and all,she isn't ready
some gilrs will go exactly 63 days,my vet gave me another day,I knew she would be on time..
make sure you can feel the pups moving, but i don't think she is ready, her temp should stay at 99 if it fluctuates she isn't ready..
after pups are born she will need to eat 2 times as much,I gave my gal 1/2 of cup of puppy food 4 times a day while she was nursing, dry kibble and 1 teaspoonful of wet puppy food as a snack in between

you have done great, and being prepared for an emergency shows your responsible
Don't worry about all them nasty answers, some just love the doggie section to let off steam, bet they wouldn't say it to your face, nice to hide behind a ID...
as for her temp,my gal wouldn't let me anywhere near her before pregnancy to know what her normal temp is and just before like minutes before she finally let me take her temperature it was her first..so don't worry...
I wouldn't go 72 days thats wrong info,65 days I would be calling the vet
are you sure you counted right, breeders mate at 10 days 12 day,or 11 days 13 days start of heat, recount the days,go by her very first mating,if it was after the 9th day, like 10th day or 11th day sperm lasts 5 days
October 3rd ,what day in her heat cycle was that?thats only 60 days, october 6th,56 days
she will be pregnant 9 weeks
If I go by your dates, she won't be having any till wednesday or thursday...
please read the info on the site I provided..bookmark it,its great to have,
also if she refuses the pups to nurse this is the best puppy formula you will never find in stores.

Dogs have naturally high temperatures so she should be fine. When she does deliver, be sure not to handle the pups too much because it isn't good for them. I have heard of chihuahuas that had trouble delivering, but I also know someone who's chihuahua has had a lot of litters and was fine each time.
Congrats! And I hope everything goes well!
I'd wait it out until atleast tomorrow afternoon to see if she has started any signs of labor.
If not--Give your vet another call...
If she is she could be in pre-labour. Some dogs temps don't even budge so temp taking isn't always effective. It's nice when it is though.
Just hold tight, it will happen eventually.
If three more days pass and still nothing pop back into the vet, hopefully she has a natural healthy birth and sounds like the pups will be small if pops is that small.
